Clinical Exercise in Malvern East
Our Clinical Exercise classes are run by a Physiotherapist and are limited to a maximum of three clients per class, so that each participant receives the support and guidance that they deserve. Clinical Exercise classes run for 45 minutes and help to decrease pain, improve function and improve the way in which you move. Each class attendee will have attended a one-on-one appointment with a Physiotherapist prior to their first Clinical Exercise class. You can also view the Clinical Exercise Classes Time Table Here.
This appointment allows our Physiotherapist to undertake a thorough full body screening to assess for injuries and areas of concern and allows the Physiotherapist to design a tailored exercise program that will help you to reach your goals safely and effectively. You can claim a rebate on our Clinical Exercise classes with private health cover.
Whether you are an exercise beginner, professional athlete or Pilates aficionado, quality of equipment matters. At Pillar, our clients have access to the best Pilates reformers and gym equipment available. The versatility of our equipment ensures that your workout is ever-changing and challenging.
How to get involved
Clinical Exercise sessions at Pillar start with an initial assessment with one of our Physiotherapists. This session involves a full-body screening and enables your Physiotherapist to identify areas of injury, imbalance and weakness and assess core activation. It is an opportunity for you to discuss your goals with your practitioner and become familiar with the studio space.
Following your initial assessment, your Physiotherapist will design an individually tailored exercise program for you. A follow up appointment will be arranged to introduce you to the equipment and ensure that you feel comfortable and supported as you are led through a series of exercises.
When you feel comfortable on the equipment and feel ready to progress to a class environment, you can conveniently book online into our classes or by phoning the clinic on 03 8899 6277. During your class you will be guided through your individually tailored and prescribed exercise program. You do not need to change any of the equipment settings or set yourself up on the machines, your Physiotherapist is there to help! Your program will be continually revised and progressed as you advance on your exercise pathway.
